Creating cohesion across the K-12 system

Why They Use It:

• At first, to gather evidence about everyday instruction, to inform the district’s identification of K-12 anchor practices, and to cultivate a shared instructional vision. 

• Later, to help each school in the district actively implement and track their school improvement plans.

How They Use It:

• The District Leadership Team used it during Site Visits (instructional rounds or learning walks) at each school in the district. 

• School leaders use it with their school-based teams, to support and track their school improvement plans.  They also use Small Wins data to share their progress story at the annual district Data Retreat.
