See the everyday effects of your team’s efforts

The Small Wins Dashboard is the goal-tracking and culture-building tool designed by educators, for educators.

It’s always been hard for schools to sustain momentum toward their big goals.

As schools face the most challenging conditions of our time—collective progress feels harder than ever. Having worked over 20 years in education, Founder Kippy Smith is deeply aware of these challenges—and passionate about creating solutions.

One day, pen and notebook in hand, Kippy posed a question to a district Superintendent:

“What do you think your staff needs in order to reach the district’s big, bold goals?”

The Superintendent thought for a moment. Then she replied with just one word:

“Hope.”

We did our research. The data shows that hope is worth building.

  • Tracking everyday progress—both individually and as a team—improves energy and creativity, and ultimately leads to greater accomplishments.

  • When educators believe in their collective ability to have a positive impact (Collective Teacher Efficacy, or CTE), their students are more likely to succeed.

That’s why small wins are a big deal.

Mary Alice McClean, Superintendent, RSU 71

“The Small Wins Dashboard helps capture the kind of information that has often been difficult to capture, leading to a sense of collective optimism and efficacy, and providing evidence of the change process in real-time. In addition to articulating small successes that feed hope, the Dashboard encourages articulation of what did not go as well as planned and what was learned, thus normalizing risk-taking and learning from what didn’t work.”

If these beliefs resonate with you, then let’s collaborate

  • People can do just about anything when they do it together. While there’s no blueprint for the complex change schools need, the best solutions grow out of collaboration from all team members.

  • “Culture eats strategy for lunch.” To put Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown’s words another way: The people on your team and the environment you create together matter way more than any strategy you could adopt.

  • Working towards goals is a learning journey, not a checklist. When individuals and organizations treat the change process as such, growth becomes a constant mode of being (instead of a one-off workshop).

  • Seeing gaps creates urgency, and seeing success creates self-belief. Schools tend to see their gaps more readily than their successes, but both are needed to fuel continual growth
